Everest University Online

Online learning at Everest will allow you to not only learn and practice a subject which is integral to your educational objectives, but will also offer you added flexibility and convenience for the completion of the program while continuing to manage careers, family, and home life. The courses are built and maintained on the eCollege platform which is media intensive and has highly effective pedagogical and course authoring tools. All instructors are required to complete an intensive teacher-training course, which prepares them to teach and/or create a course following specific course construction guidelines.

Online Degree Advantages
Everest serves primarily adult students. Many of these students are "paying their own way" and have concurrently managed careers, family, and personal lives. These students expect to actively participate and be more self-directed in their education. Online learning allows them not only to learn and practice a subject which is integral to their educational objectives, but offers them added flexibility and convenience for the completion of their program while continuing to manage careers, family, and home life.
Where in the past students may have had to "drop out" when employment, travel, family emergencies, or other personal demands interfered, online learning can allow them to continue their program without interruption.

Faculty Members
Everest employs academically and experientially credentialed faculty who oversee the instruction, evaluation, and grading requirements. Faculty members possess the credentials required by the accrediting agency, ACICS. In addition, all online faculty must participate in a course which prepares them to teach online. Trained faculty members oversee the cyber classroom, control course delivery and the evaluation and grading of students.

Accreditation
The University is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award associate degrees, Bachelor’s degrees and master degrees. The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education. Its accreditation of degree-granting institutions also is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) is located at 750 First Street, NE, Washington, D.C. 20002; (202) 336-6780.
