The Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) prepares managers
as both economic and ethical leaders. The concept of the business
manager as both economic and ethical leader represents a break from
more traditional views. This more contemporary concept of managers
has grassroots support from the business community, where diverse
organizations are requesting a new generation of MBA graduates.
Effective leaders in organizations are able to integrate and apply
functional knowledge (accounting, economics, finance, and operations)
to the decision-making process. Additionally they are able to acquire
the management and leadership skills necessary to solve complex
problems. The MBA program cultivates the development of student
knowledge about the diverse discipline of business administration
within organizations affected by the dynamic global business environment.
