How does distance learning work?
Throughout your program, you'll have flexibility to work anywhere
and anytime that fits your busy schedule. Support networks, such as
the Walden Library, the Writing Center, Online Concierge Team, and
academic advisors, also assist you throughout your program.
With the guidance of a faculty member, some programs allow you
to create a unique plan of study that is relevant for you and your
professional pursuits. You'll also exchange ideas and collaborate
with your colleagues through email, online courses, study teams
and, in some programs, face-to-face residency sessions.
Will I be able to take courses that relate to my job?
You will guide your own course of study with the ability to choose
the individual specialization that best relates to your day-to-day
life.
Walden University's flexible curriculum allows you to design projects
to complement your professional objectives while satisfying course
requirements.
What if I've earned credits from another university?
You are permitted to transfer credits from other institutions that
are accredited regionally or by the Council for Higher Education
Accreditation. Walden also recognizes credits earned through several
professional associations. Each program has transfer of credit maximums
and time limits to ensure that you benefit from the most up-to-date
knowledge in your field.
How quickly can I complete a degree program?
Bachelor's programs can be completed in as little as 15 to 27 months.
Master's degree programs can be completed in as little as 15 to
24 months. Most Ph.D. students earn their degree in 4.5 years or
less. The Ed.D. program takes 3 years to complete.
Is financial aid available to those who qualify?
At Walden University, you'll find a full range of financial aid
support and a variety of options to help fund your education expenses.
In fact, most Walden students borrow 100 percent of their tuition
and fee costs through low-interest Federal Family Educational loans.
Most Walden University students receive some form of financial assistance,
either through federal financial aid or employer tuition-reimbursement
programs.
